Uzbekistan and Azerbaijan sign education roadmap

High-level events are being organized in Baku as part of the 2024 UN Climate Change Conference, and important initiatives are being proposed, UzA reports. 

A meeting was held between the Minister of Preschool and School Education of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Hilola Umarova, and the Minister of Science and Education of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Emin Amrullayev.

The parties discussed organizing joint projects and training to improve teachers' qualifications, exchanging experience in developing educational programs and teaching materials, cooperating as part of the international STEAM Festival, and organizing a STEAM Center in Uzbekistan.

Cooperation in the exchange of teaching staff between the Tashkent State Pedagogical University named after Nizami and the Azerbaijan State Pedagogical University, as well as the study of the experience of the Mercy School, the knowledge assessment system and the digital educational platform were considered.

A roadmap was signed to strengthen cooperation for 2025-2026.
