Uzbekistan – Iran trade turnover yo reach USD 1 bln

Representatives of business circles led by the President of Iran Chamber of Commerce, Industries, Mines, and Agriculture Samad Hassanzadeh arrived in Uzbekistan, UzA reports. 

The event at the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Uzbekistan was attended by the Chairman of the Chamber Davron Vakhobov, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Uzbekistan to the Islamic Republic of Iran F. Nasriyev, the head of the Iranian delegation, as well as Ambassador M. Eskandari.

The meeting, which aimed to develop economic cooperation between the two countries, continued with an open and fruitful dialogue with representatives of Iranian enterprises operating in the textile, construction, pharmaceutical, agricultural, and healthcare industries.

During the conversation, issues of increasing trade turnover, exports, and imports were discussed.

The parties discussed holding a Uzbekistan—Iran Business Forum in Tashkent and the Khorezm region on September 19-20.
