Uzbekistan launches Twitter-like microblogging service

TASHKENT. KAZINFORM - Bamboo social network was launched in Uzbekistan

The interface of the new service resembles one of the most popular social networks - Twitter. Users can post messages and leave comments.

But, Uzbek developers added a couple of options, for instance, Bamboo users can add friends, find new ones, post public or private messages and comment them.

Unlike Twitter, Bamboo's text messages are limited to 700 characters. The creators say the microblogging service is for Uzbekistan users only.
