Uzbekistan to continue to export electricity to Afghanistan in 2025
Afghanistan and Uzbekistan extended an agreement on electricity exports for 2025, a Kazinform News Agency correspondent reports.
An Uzbek delegation led by Energy Minister Zhurabek Mirzamakhmudov arrived this week in Afghanistan, the press service of Da Afghanistan Breshna Sherkat (DABS) reports.
As part of his trip, the Uzbek Energy Minister met with Abdul Bari Omar, the CEO of Da Afghanistan Breshna Sherkat.
Following the talks, Da Afghanistan Breshna Sherkat and Uzenergosotish signed an agreement on the purchase of electricity for 2025.
The agreement is aimed at strengthening energy cooperation between the two countries and ensuring steady electricity supplies to Afghanistan.
To note, Kyrgyzstan plans to double electricity production by 2030.
