Uzbeks most often violate immigration legislation of Kazakhstan – Interior Ministry

ASTANA. KAZINFORM - Last year 83 thousand foreigners were brought to administrative responsibility for violating immigration laws of Kazakhstan. Most of them were citizens of Uzbekistan, this has been said by Police Colonel Serik Sainov, chief of the Migration Police Department under the Ministry of Interior.

"Last year 83 thousand foreigners were brought to administrative responsibility for violating immigration laws of Kazakhstan. Most of them were citizens of Uzbekistan. Basically they violate the laws regarding registration within a five-day period, compliance with the rules of transit and illegal occupation," said Serik Sainov prior to an extended meeting of Senate's committee on constitutional law, the judicial system and law enforcement agencies. The sitting has discussed the draft law" On ratification of the Agreement between the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Government of the Republic of Uzbekistan on the readmission of persons and an executive protocol on order of implementation of the Agreement between the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Government of the Republic of Uzbekistan on the readmission of persons." The representative of the Ministry of Internal Affairs reminded that from January 1, according to the new Administrative Code, violations of migration legislation of Kazakhstan provide for fines of 10 MCI and higher.
