V international media-festival of children?s and youth mass media opens in Astana

ASTANA. March 21. KAZINFORM /Kanat Kulshmanov/ V international media-festival of young journalists of children and youth mass media ?Under a lucky star? has been opened in Astana today.

?The main purpose of the forum is consolidation of children and youth mass media, formation of civil consciousness and tolerance of the young generation in light of the President?s Address to the Nation?, president of the Union of children?s public associations ?Zhuldyz? Yelena Dmitrieenko said. ?Last year we became nominees on video-journalism at the contest in Amsterdam. It was for the first time when a child from Kazakhstan became a nominee of international contest, held by the United Nations Children?s Fund (UNISEF)?, she noted. Holding of presentation-exhibition of the participants of the forum, press conference, workshops and master-classes are scheduled within the festival. The organizer of the festival is Union of children?s public associations ?Zhuldyz? with the support of ?Zhas Otan? Youth Wing of ?Nur Otan? National Democratic Party.
