Van Gogh's paintings come alive in Almaty
ALMATY. KAZINFORM - A unique interactive exhibition of Vincent van Gogh's masterpieces has been unveiled in Almaty city.
Ambassador of the Netherlands to Kazakhstan Hans Driesser was in Almaty to kick off the exhibition. It is due to last till October 1, 2014. Van Gogh Alive project immerses visitors of the exhibition into the world of the Dutch post-Impressionist genius with the help of SENSORY4 multimedia system. It displays Van Gogh's timeless works on walls, columns, ceilings and even the floor. The exhibition provides a unique opportunity to see the smallest details of the paintings, study color and technique. It showcases Van Gogh's works during the period 1880 to 1890, with the special focus on his time in Arles, Saint Rémy and Auvers-sur-Oise, the places where he created many of his most renowned paintings.
