Vice PM chairs 1st session of working group on housing and utilities issues

ASTANA. March 26. KAZINFORM Vice Prime Minister Serik Akhmetov has chaired the first session of a working group on the housing and utilities issues in the Ukimet Uiy; Kazinform refers to the Premier?s press service.

At the session the participants discussed main directions of the activity in the sphere of housing and utilities: creation of conditions for development of community facilities market, state support of modernization of the residential sector and use of resource saving technologies. In the discussion special attention was paid to the issues of improvement of the regulatory and legal framework, adoption of conception of the housing and utilities modernization and Complex Measures Plan for the housing and utilities modernization. Sessions of the group are planned to be held weekly, where reports of administrations of oblasts and Almaty and Astata cities on implementation of the regional programs on housing and utilities will be made. Following the results of the session a decision was taken to consolidate all proposals on housing and utilities improvement in the Ministry of Industry and Trade till April 1, 2009.
