Vice PM visited South Kazakhstan
SHYMKENT. March 30. KAZINFORM /Tatyana Pylaeva/ Kazakh Vice Prime Minister Serik Akhmetov paid a working visit to South Kazakhstan oblast; Kazinform reports.
S.Akhmetov visited Ontustik Special Economic Zone, Yuteks JSC and the pumping facility of the Shymkent heat supply system. Three modernized cotton processing plants will be launched at Ontustik special economic zone this year. This will create more than 1,500 jobs. ?Despite the crisis, we should pay tribute to our investors for works going on schedule. The projects are financed jointly by Kazakhstan Development Bank and entrepreneurs. Both sides fulfill their obligations?, Director of Ontustik special economic zone Sergey Tsoi said.
Management of Yuteks JSC is not so optimistic. At first production of the enterprise was export-oriented. And now there are problems in realization of products. ?Production quality meets international standards. We can participate in state purchases whether it be bed linen or overalls - our specialists can perform any configuration?, head of the enterprise Sholpan Dzharassova said to S.Akhmetov. ?Manufacturers need an opportunity to obtain state orders from large enterprises and state bodies and participate in exhibitions to show their products. And prepare preliminary memorandums of cooperation for the exhibitions?, the Vice Premier said.
As for the heat supply facilities, last year more than KZT 1 bln were allocated from the oblast?s budget for the reconstruction of networks and completion of the new scheme of heat supply. Within this work two updated pumping facilities were constructed. ?KZT 1.7 bln more are required to complete the reconstruction of heat supply system and resolve the rest problems. We expect the Government to finance these works under the anti-recessionary programme?, Shymkent Mayor Arman Zhetpisbayev said.
