Vietnam's A/H1N1 flu cases rise to 2,793
HANOI. September 1. KAZINFORM Vietnam confirmed 69 more cases of A/H1N1 influenza, raising the total number of the flu patients in the country to 2,793, said a report of the website of Vietnam's Ministry of Health on Tuesday; Kazinform cites China View.
Among the newly-reported cases, 48 were in the south, four in the north and 17 in the central highland provinces of Vietnam, said the report.
So far, A/H1N1 flu patients have been detected in 51 out of 63 municipalities and provinces in the country, said Nguyen Huy Nga, head of the Preventive Health and Environment Department.
Out of the country's total cases, 1,346 patients have recovered and been discharged from hospitals. The rest are being quarantined and treated.
