Visiting seminar on issues of development of single-industry towns began in Temirtau

 ASTANA. May 14. KAZINFORM A two-day visiting seminar focused on the issues of development of single-industry towns of Kazakhstan began in Temirtau town, Pm.kz site informed.

Deputy Minister of Economic Development and Trade of Kazakhstan M. Kusainov, President of JSC Institute of Economic Research M. Mukhanov, Chairman of the Business Development Committee of the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade of Kazakhstan K. Aitkenov, representatives of state bodies, development institutes, governors of several regions and mayors of single-industry towns participate in the event.

On the first day, May 13, the participants of the event visited the Historical and Cultural Center of the First President of Kazakhstan.

Besides, the participants visited JSC 'ArselorMittal Temirtau' where they familiarized with the work of the blast-furnace No. 2 and the continuous casting machine No. 3.

They also discussed the issues regarding working out complex plans on development of single-industry towns and implementation of partnership programs with town-building companies.

The work of the seminar on development of single-industry towns will continue tomorrow on May 14. First Deputy Prime Minister of Kazakhstan S. Akhmetov will participate in the vent tomorrow.
