Volunteers for EXPO 2017 to be selected in late 2014

ASTANA. KAZINFORM - Volunteers for the International specialized exhibition "EXPO-2017" will be selected in late 2014, the press service of "National Company "Astana EXPO-2017" reports.

"The concept of screening and selecting of volunteers for the EXPO event is being drawn up presently. It will be published, after Kazakhstan defends its Registration dossier and obtains the EXPO official flag by yearend. Screening of candidates will start tentatively in late 2014," the press release says. Kazakhstani volunteers boast extensive experience in high-profile international events, such as the OSCE Summit in Astana in 2010 (more than 500 volunteers), the Asian Winter Games in 2011 (more than 2 500 volunteers) and the annual Astana Economic Forum (more than 200 volunteers).
