Zoradi's resign follows the abrupt departure of Dick Cook in September as the film studio chairman, who was replaced by television executive Rich Ross on Oct. 5.

Disney did not elaborate on why Zoradi resigned, and Zoradi himself also gave no reason for his departure in a letter to his staff.

No successor was named yet, said Disney.

Zoradi joined Disney in 1980 as a home video marketing manager. He was named to president of the film group in July 2006.

According to media reports, the studio has reported a 12 million dollar operating loss in the June quarter, down from a 97 million dollar operating profit last year, Kazinform refers to Xinhua.
