Wang Yi: Silk Road economic belt to contribute to China's more openness

BEIJING. KAZINFORM "An initiative, voiced by China's President Xi Jinping on creating an economic belt of the Silk Road will contribute to the promotion of more openness of China," Foreign Minister Wang Yi said.

"Xi Jinping put forward this initiative during his visit to Kazakhstan. In Indonesia the President came forward with an initiative on the Sea Silk Road of the 21st century. These two big initiatives are aimed at ensuring more openness of China," he told Kazinform correspondent. According to him, the goal of these two concepts is economic cooperation and cultural exchange between the countries, facilitation and favoured treatment of mutual ties, trade and investments.
