Ways of successful development of agricultural science - rector of S. Seifullin KazATU
"We are talking about changes in the educational process. If we want to develop our science and production like in the West, we should adopt the curricula of leading foreign countries. Their professors are ready to come here and implement their programs. What's the problem? The problem is our standards. Based on today's laws, we cannot implement foreign programs, "- said A. Kurishbayev. Rector took as an example the Nazarbayev University, which, in a short period of time, introduced the most advanced training programs due to the autonomous status of the university. A. Kurishbayev also stressed that the question of the S.Seifullin KazATU status and that of created on its basis of the research university has become even more actual because of the fact that the Ministry of Agriculture submitted to the Government proposals envisaging accountability of the university to the Ministry of Agriculture and other government agencies. It is necessary to note here that on May 22, 2013 President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev, speaking at the 26th plenary meeting of the Foreign Investors' Council under the President, said: "Following the example of the Nazarbayev University Government, together with investors need to study the issue of creating a world-class research university in the field of agriculture - the base of it can be the Kazakh Agro Technical University. This university is to combine three components: university, territorial scientific institutions and experimental economies".
