We achieved 12 times economic growth during independence: N.Nazarbayev

AKTOBE. March 18. KAZINFORM /Samal Yendibayeva/ Kazakh President Nursultan Nazarbayev has started republican campaign "Dawn of village - dawn of Kazakhstan" dedicated to the 20th anniversary of Kazakhstan's independence today within his visit to Aktobe region.

N.Nazarbayev has said that almost a half of population of Kazakhstan lives in villages. Due to it the Government pays special attention to villages and rural population. The President informed on the programs outlined in his recent Address on training of self-employed population, housing construction, country's industrialization.

"We implement industrial program, build new plants and factories. 150 enterprises were launched during the first year of the program's realization. Totally we plant to put into operation over 300 enterprises," the President said.

"We have achieved 12 times economic growth in 12 years. There is no other state in the world that has achieved the same results for the first 20 years of independence," the Head of State said.
