ASTANA. December 16. KAZINFORM King of Jordan Abdullah II sent his congratulations to Head of State Nursultan Nazarbayev on the occasion of the 20th anniversary of independence of Kazakhstan.

"On behalf of the people of Jordan and my own behalf I offer my sincere congratulations to President Nursultan Nazarbayev, the Government and the people of Kazakhstan on the twentieth anniversary of the country's independence.

We are proud of the historic ties between our nations and common Islamic heritage which laid solid foundation for the development of society in Jordan as well as in Kazakhstan. Today our countries are the brightest examples of diversity, tolerance and co-existence.

For the past two decades Kazakhstan achieved great triumphs. You can be rightfully proud of significant economic growth achieved due to the mobilization of the huge potential and natural resources in your historically rich country," the message reads.
