We aspire to create conditions for each medical worker – PM Smailov

Prime Minister Alikhan Smailov addressed the participants of the Global Primary Healthcare Conference in Astana today. He spoke on the progress made in Kazakhstan’s healthcare sector, Kazinform News Agency reports.

According to him, primary healthcare system has been implemented in each region. Special centers were set up in remote districts. “We aspire to create conditions for every medical worker,” said Alikhan Smailov.

He reminded that doctors’ salaries is raised by 30%  in Kazakhstan annually, while the salaries of medical personnel is increased by 25%.

An electronic health passport was introduced in Kazakhstan, to enable all the citizens promptly receive information about their health condition. Modern technologies are applied in cardiovascular and neurosurgery centers. A new national cancer center is set to be opened next year, he added.

“We are ready to share information, recommendations and knowledge,” he noted.
