NOI. November 1. KAZINFORM /Ruslan Suleimenov/ During his state visit to Vietnam Kazakh President Nursultan Nazarbayev met with the students and faculty of Vietnam National University on Tuesday in Hanoi.

Making a speech Nazarbayev noted that "with the active support of foreign partners Kazakhstan is becoming a bridge between East and West. For the first time in 11 years we managed to organize the OSCE Summit in Astana and adopt the Astana Declaration aimed at creating a single space of Euro-Atlantic and Eurasian security."

Nazarbayev said that in June this year, Kazakhstan completed the chairmanship of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization. Today Kazakhstan chairs the Organization of Islamic Cooperation.

"The Customs Union established by Kazakhstan, Russia and Belarus opens big opportunities for deepening trade-economic cooperation. This is a large market of 170 million people and total GDP of USD 2 trillion," the Kazakh President emphasized.
