We glad to welcome new citizens of sovereign Kazakhstan - Saudabayev

ASTANA. December 22. KAZINFORM /Muratbek Makulbekov/ "We are glad to welcome new citizens of sovereign Kazakhstan and wish them health, well-being and fruitful work for the benefit of the Motherland," Secretary of State Kanat Saudabayev has said, opening a session of the Commission on Citizenship under the President of Kazakhstan.

"A large number of people from different countries who wish to gain our citizenship is a one more confirmation of the fact that Kazakhstan has succeeded over these years as an economically strong, democratically developed state. Over the years of independence about a million people from different countries received our citizenship, and this flow does not dry out," K.Saudabayev noted.

The Commission considered appeals of foreign persons, who wish to gain Kazakhstan's citizenship. More than 700 people from the CIS and non-CIS countries will be citizens of Kazakhstan after signing the corresponding Decree by the Head of State.
