We stand for fight against ‘three evil forces’ – Kazakh President
Kassym-Jomart Tokayev and Xi Jinping held negotiations in an extended format, during which the President of Kazakhstan expressed continued support to China's peaceful initiatives, Kazinform News Agency reports citing the press service of Akorda.
As the Head of State said, Kazakhstan backs peaceful initiatives of China and highly appreciates its key role and contribution to building a fair world order in accordance with the fundamental principles of international law and the UN Charter.
“We are ready, in a constructive spirit, to support the issues related to the implementation of your initiative “Building a Community with a Shared Future for Mankind.” Our position on One China policy remains unchanged. We stand for interaction in the fight against the three evil forces – terrorism, separatism and extremism,” said Kassym-Jomart Tokayev.
He said Kazakhstan values unwavering support of China, which strongly advocates respect for sovereignty and independence of all states.
Kassym-Jomart Tokayev emphasized that China had been the largest trade partner of Kazakhstan, and both countries had enough potential to boost bilateral commodity turnover.
He said the Kazakh Government would work hard to achieve this goal.
“China traditionally holds leading positions in investing in Kazakhstan economy, with the amount of investments hitting $24 billion in the past 15 years. Mutual visa-free regime has entered into force. The Year of Kazakhstan's Tourism in China is ongoing. All these measures provide additional impulse to strengthen the cooperation between our countries in various sectors,” the Kazakh President stressed.
