Weather alert issued for 12 regions of Kazakhstan

The national weather service Kazhydromet announced storm alert for 12 regions due to the deterioration of weather conditions, Kazinform News Agency reports.

Foggy and icy road conditions are forecast across Turkistan, West Kazakhstan, Almaty, and Mangistau regions.

Fog will also blanket Atyrau and Zhambyl regions, with black ice to form on the roads and ground blizzard to hit.

Ground blizzard is also forecast in Abai region, while snowstorm will batter Akmola and Kostanay regions.

2^nd degree adverse weather conditions persist in the East Kazakhstan region.

Snowy weather is predicted for the North Kazakhstan region, while heavy snowfall will hit Aktobe region.
