In 2019, just before the pandemic, the market reached a record high, surpassing 2 million USD. However, by 2021, these figures had dropped more than sevenfold. In the past two years (2022 and 2023), the market has started to recover, consistently exceeding 1 million USD annually.

The majority of fireworks imports occur in the fall, particularly in October and November, ahead of the New Year's celebrations.

The main suppliers of this product are China, Russia, and Kyrgyzstan. The structure of imports by country has also undergone significant changes in recent years:

· China has significantly increased its market share, rising from 27% in 2018 to 78% in 2024.

· Russia, on the other hand, has lost its dominant position, reducing its share from 66% in 2018 to 22% this year.

· Kyrgyzstan occasionally appears among the suppliers, reaching a record 16% in 2023.

In addition, fireworks have been imported in small quantities from other countries. For example, according to State Revenue Committee Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Kazakhstan, fireworks weighing 0.1 tons, worth 17.6 thousand USD, were imported from Germany, the UK, and the USA. Fireworks were also imported from countries such as Georgia, Cyprus, Norway, Montenegro, and the Czech Republic.
