Which region of Kazakhstan has the highest birth rates?
Since the beginning of the year population of Kazakhstan has grown by 210,139 people, Kazinform News Agency cites the National Statistics Bureau.
Natural increase of up to 198,443 people contributed heavily to the population increase.
The highest natural population growth was recorded in Turkistan region - 36,628, followed by Shymkent - 20,348 and Astana – 19,258 people.
309,310 babies were born for the past 10 months throughout Kazakhstan.
The highest birth rates were seen in Turkistan region with 25,14 per 1,000, 24.64 in Mangistau region and 23.78 in Shymkent.
For the past 10 months, 110,867 people which is 3.3 % less against the previous year died in Kazakhstan. North Kazakhstan has the highest death rates with 11.52 per 1,000 population followed by East Kazakhstan with 11.32, and Kostanay region with 10.17 due to the age structure of these regions.
As earlier reported, the population of Kazakhstan jumped to 20, 243,981 as of November 1, 2024.
