Whole set of standards for law developed - Kazakh Minister of Justice

ASTANA. April 2. KAZINFORM /Muratbek Makulbekov/The enlarged meeting of the Mazhilis Committee on Legislation and Judicial and Legal Reform discussed measures on improving the legislative activity.

In her opening speech, Minister of Justice Zagipa Baliyeva noted that the Government together with the Parliament have to formulate the quality criteria of the legislative work. ?Scientists, who are present here, confirm that the legislation is the creative process and the participants of this process might have their views and vision. In this context, the only criterion is, perhaps, a compromise. And we must not forget that those laws which we are developing will be a legislative framework for our society. Therefore, we are to draw a line in writing drafts of legislative acts and clearly follow the rules, those regulations and policy recommendations, which we have already developed together with the scientists. Now we are to decide on the criteria ?Legal Technology?, ?Quality of Legislative Work? and follow them?, Z. Baliyeva said. According to her, now there are four inter-ministerial committees - on legislative work, civil law, the administrative law, criminal law and criminal procedure law. Representatives of central government bodies, the National Bank, the Republican Guard and the Presidential Security Service, academic institutions, educational institutions and the National Economic Chamber ?Union ?Atameken? participated in the enlarged meeting.
