Wild wind to batter Kazakhstan on January 2

Kazhydromet mets service issued a weather forecast for Kazakhstan for January 2, Kazinform News Agency reports.

Unsteady weather is forecast to grip the country’s north, and northwest with heavy snow predicted in the north, east and snow and rain to the southeast, east, south and west of Kazakhstan.

Fog, ice slick and high wind are expected countrywide.

High wind up to 30 m/s and more is set to roll through North Kazakhstan and Akmola regions today.

As earlier reported, a storm alert was issued for 10 regions of Kazakhstan.

Earlier Kazhydromet reported what the weather would be like in Kazakhstan on the first day of 2025.
