Winners of ‘Aru Ana’ contest of best female projects honored in Astana

Chairwoman of Kazakhstan’s National Commission for Women’s Affairs and Family and Demographic Policy Aida Balayeva awarded with honors the winners of the republican contest of the best women’s projects Aru Ana ahead of the International Women’s Day, Kazinform News Agency cites the culture and information ministry of the country.

Launched in 2023, the contest is spearheaded by the National Commission for Women’s Affairs and Family and Demographic Policy with the aim to support, unite and promote female leaders fulfilling their best ideas and social projects.

Out of 260 projects submitted across the country, 20 were selected as best aimed at supporting the institution of family, economic opportunities for women, children’s rights protection, promotion of inclusive society, creative industries, IT, agrobusiness, as well as charity.

After honoring the winners, Balayeva stressed that the Kazakh Head of State points out the key role of women in the life of society, education of the future generation. The Commission’s chairwoman expressed hope that the projects will contribute to the development of Kazakhstan.
