ASTANA. KAZINFORM - Kazakh border guards have foiled attempt to smuggle gold jewelry, the press service of the Border Service of the National Security Committee of Kazakhstan reported.

42-year-old citizen of the Republic of Kazakhstan was detained by Kazakhstan border guards for smuggling attempt. The woman tried to cross the border with a bag with golden jewelry, weighing about 1 kg 615 g. Contraband cargo was delivered to Kazakhstan via "Sharjah - Almaty" flight. The incident is being investigated.
