Woman stabbing her mother declared insane in Aktobe

ASTANA. October 31. KAZINFORM - In August this year a resident of Kopa township in Hromtau area during the quarrel killed her mother, having stabbed her to the chest. From injuries the elderly woman died in the central district hospital of Hromtau. The Specialized Inter-district criminal court of the Aktobe region freed her daughter from criminal responsibility in connection with her mental insanity.

The woman was assigned to obligatory medical measures in the form of compulsory treatment in a specialized psychiatric hospital with intensive supervision. The verdict has not entered into force and may be challenged in court.
