Women's Boxing Championship kicks off in Kazakhstan

ASTANA. KAZINFORM - Kazakhstan Women's Boxing Championship has kicked off in the town of Shchuchinsk in the Akmola region today, Kazakhstan's Boxing Federation informs.

The event brought together 88 athletes, including the 2012 London Olympics bronze medalist Marina Volnova and many other renowned boxers. The final of the boxing championship is set to take place on March 15. The winners will make the roster of Kazakhstan's national team that is expected to represent the country at the 2014 AIBA Women's World Boxing Championships in South Korea.
