Work in CU opens way to post-crisis period: N.Nazarbayev

MOSCOW. March 17. KAZINFORM /Narymbek Ismagulov/ "The work within the Customs Union opens a way to post-crisis period fro countries," President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev said at the meeting with Russian President Dmitri Medvedev.

N.Nazarbayev thanked the President of the Russian Federation for active participation in the process of Kazakhstan's OSCE presidency and holding the Organization's Summit. "The last year was marked by the fact that we established the Customs Union. This is the best integration association that we have established for 20 years since the collapse of the USSR," the Kazakh President said.

"A union between the EU and China is under establishment. It will be a connecting link between Europe and Asia. The trade between our states has increased by 30% during the first year of the Customs Union functioning, i.e. we enter the post-crisis period," N.Nazarbayev said.
