Work on employment of dismissed oil workers started - Prosecutor General's Office

ASTANA. December 23. KAZINFORM The operational environment both in the town of Zhanaozen and in Mangystau region is stable and under control of law enforcement bodies; the press service of the Prosecutor General's Office reports.

Over the last five days no crimes reported in Zhanaozen. All sites of life sustaining function in the town, the state agencies and the election commission operate in the ordinary course.

The governmental commission implements the measures aimed at solution of the socio-economic and other problems that have arisen in connection with the riots of December 16-17, 2011. In particular, a work on employment of the dismissed oil workers was started.

100 percent of workers of enterprises Ozenmunaygas and Karazhanbasmunay turned up to work on December 23.

The investigation and operational group is continuing to bring the organizers and the most active participants of the riots and looting to liability imposed by law.
