Working group under Energy Ministry considers necessity of fourth refinery

ASTANA. KAZINFORM - Working Group of Energy Ministry of the Republic of Kazakhstan is considering feasibility of the fourth refinery, said deputy Minister of Energy Magzum Mirzagaliev at today's round table on the situation in domestic fuel market.

He recalled that President Nursultan Nazarbayev instructed to build a new refinery in Kazakhstan. "The Ministry has created a special working group. There are a number of open questions to be settled by the group," said M.Mirzagaliev. According to his words, first of all it is necessary to resolve the issues related to the location of the future refinery. Secondly, it is needed to determine the refinery's capacity and estimated cost. Third question is to define market for products of the new refinery.
