World largest sulfur scaly production plant runs in Atyrau rgn

ASTANA. November 7. KAZINFORM — In Atyrau region the capacity of sulfur processing plant owned by "Caspian Salfit Company" LLP has reached 400 thousand tons per year.

The plant operates on the basis of the Tengiz oil field recycling sulfur obtained during crude oil purification. The factory which has the most advanced Western technology is oriented to the production of sulfur scaly. The volume of output per day is about 1,200 tons. All scaly sulfur goes for export.

"The Atyrau plant producing sulfur scaly is the largest in the world. The factory involves 121 employees. Although all the equipment is of foreign manufacturers, only 1 foreign specialist works at the plant. The rest are the residents of Atyrau region", said the executive director of "Caspian Salfit Company" Dyuisenbay Elseitov.
