Wrestler from N Kazakhstan grabs bronze at world championship in Bulgaria
PETROPAVLOVSK. September 4. KAZINFORM An athlete from northern Kazakhstan Akan Baimagambetov has collected bronze at the World Greco-Roman Wrestling Championship in Bulgaria, Kazinform has learnt from the regional department of physical culture and sports.

At the championship, 20-year-old Baimagambetov won four out of five bouts. At first, he surpassed his opponent from Hungary, but, then, lost to Russian athlete, who advanced to the final. Akan continued to vie for the third place of the championship by beating Romanian, Armenian and Georgian wrestlers.
"The fight with the Armenian sportsman was the toughest," Akan's coach Konysbek Tukenov admitted. "The wrestlers were equal, but Akan managed to overcome his rival thanks to his fighting spirit and stiff character."
