WW II veteran M.Kazhimov celebrates his 90th jubilee

ASTANA. KAZINFORM - In the town of Kokshetau Myrzagali Kazhimov celebrates his 90th jubilee.

The retired police Lieutenant Colonel M.Kazhimov has been congratulated by the staff of the Internal Affairs of Kokshetau, the press service of the Department of Internal Affairs of Akmola region reports. Myrzagali Kazhimov was born in Kara Kamys area. At age 19, he was drafted into the Soviet Army to the city of Omsk. In June 1945 he was sent to the 427th Infantry Regiment, where he took part in the war against the Japanese invaders. Myrzagali Kazhimov was awarded a commendation on behalf of the Joseph Stalin for forcing waterless steppes and large ridge Khanchali. Myrzagali Kazhimov was also awarded medals "For Victory over Japan", "For Military Merit" and "For Victory over Germany", "Zhukov" and the First level Order of the Great Patriotic War.
