WW2 mine found on premises of St Petersburg kindergarten, children evacuated

ST. PETERSBURG. October 20. KAZINFORM. A WW2 mine was found on premises of a St. Petersburg kindergarten on Tuesday; the children were evacuated, a source at the city emergency situations department told Itar-Tass; Kazinform refers to Itar-Tass.

Rescuers were informed about the mine at 10:10 a.m. Moscow time. The mine was only 50 meters away from the kindergarten building, so the children were evacuated.

Sappers of the Leningrad military district took away the mine at 3:30 p.m. Moscow time; Kazinform cites Itar-Tass.
