WWII veterans appreciate nationwide campaign initiated by President
ASTANA. KAZINFORM - President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev has received letters from veterans of the Great Patriotic War Nakyspek Umbetayev from Almaty region and Alexander Rudskoy from Pavlodar.
According to the press service of Akorda, the veterans expressed gratitude to the Head of State for his constant attention to veterans. N.Umbetayev stressed the high importance of the upcoming 70th anniversary of victory in the Great Patriotic War. He also expressed his support for the President's address "Nurly Zhol - The path to the Future" which is another step towards the development and prosperity of Kazakhstan. A.Rudskoy thanked the President for initiation of the nationwide campaign to support veterans. The veteran also expressed concern about the situation in the world. "We are sad to hear about the conflicts killing many people. Fortunately, we live in a multi-ethnic, peaceful country," the letter reads.
