Year 2011 to be full of important events for Kazakhstan - MFA

ASTANA. November 29. KAZINFORM /Damir Baimanov/ The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan told about the important events expected in the republic next year.

According to Chairman of the Committee on International Information of the Kazakh Foreign Office Roman Vasilenko, the year 2011 will be full of the events of international importance.

"These events will take place in Astana. I mean the VII Winter Asian Games. In May we will host the annual meeting of the EBRD and Islamic Economic Forum will also be held. In August we will mark the 20^th anniversary of closure of the Semipalatinsk nuclear testing site. On the threshold of the 20^th jubilee of Kazakhstan's independence a lot of events will be organized too", R. Vasilenko noted.
