Young gun stuns top-seed Golubev of Kazakhstan in Italy

ASTANA. KAZINFORM - Something definitely went wrong for Andrey Golubev in Italy yesterday as the Kazakhstani crashed out of the ATP Challenger Tour in Napoli, Kazinform refers to Vesti.kz.

In the second round 1st seed Golubev was outclassed by 20-year-old Matteo Donati. The Italian needed 1h 49min to route the 27-year-old Golubev in three sets 6:7, 6:4, 6:2.

Currently, Golubev is №111 of the ATP rankings, whereas Matteo Donati is ranked 355th.

It was reported that Andrey Golubev lost 22 spots in the updated ATP rankings and plummeted to №111 earlier this week.
