Young Kazakhstani talents become recipients of presidential prizes (PHOTO)
"Supporting young talents is one of the priorities of the work done by the Fund of the First President. Hundreds of young talented people have received premiums, grants and scholarships," director of the Fund Sagyndyk Nurakhanov noted, addressing participants of the awarding ceremony at Nazarbayev Center on Friday. According to him, over the past 6 years the fund has awarded nearly 100 prizes. This year Nazarbayev Center hosted this traditional event for the first time. 73 projects have been submitted from all corners of Kazakhstan. Special panel consisting of the leading experts of the Young Scientists Council and the Young Creative Youth Council considered the applications. As a result, 19 most talented people were selected and received the Prize of the Fund of the First President, namely director Emir Baigazin, soloist of Astana Opera Theater Saltanat Akhmetova, actor Nurlan Alimzhanov, candidate of Chemical Sciences of the Al Farabi Kazakh National University Galiya Irmukhametova, and others.
