Youth embodies friendship between France and Kazakhstan, says Emmanuel Macron

France President Emmanuel Macron shared his thoughts about Kazakhstan and its youth after his first-ever official visit to the country on Wednesday, Kazinform News Agency reports. 

Macron took to X (former Twitter) to highlight the role of youth in cultural cooperation between Kazakhstan and France.

In the post the French leader revealed that Astana and Paris signed numerous agreements boosting the bilateral cooperation in the face of serious challenges. He went on to add the youth acts as a link between French and Kazakh cultures and languages.

“The young people I met in Astana embody our friendship,” he noted.

Earlier it was reported that French President Emmanuel Macron arrived in Kazakhstan for the official visit on November 1. Macron and his Kazakh counterpart Kassym-Jomart Tokayev held talks both in narrow and extended formats in the Akorda presidential residence.

During the top-level talks President Tokayev praise France as Kazakhstan’s key and reliable partner in the European Union and one of the largest investors of the country’s economy. France has invested almost $19 billion into Kazakhstan with joint projects embracing such sectors as energy, peaceful atom, mining, construction materials, aerospace industry, pharmaceuticals and more.

Emmanuel Macron, in turn, commended the level of Kazakhstan-France relations.
