Z. Assanov appointed Deputy Head of OSCE Office in Minsk

ANA.  August 24. KAZINFORM /Muratbek Makulbekov/ In conformity with a decision on Greek chairmanship Counselor Minister of Kazakhstan's Permanent Representation to the OSCE Zhandos Assanov has been appointed Deputy Head of the OSCE Office in Minsk. Official spokesperson of the Kazakh MFA Yerzhan Ashikbayev has made it public a weekly briefing today.

The decision on Z. Assanov's appointment enters into force on September 1, 2009. OSCE Office Deputy Head is a senior executive position for political issues. Appointment of Mr. Assanov  is of great importance in light of Kazakhstan's preparation for OSCE chairmanship in 2010.
