Zarina Diyas loses in three-set thriller in Strasbourg

ASTANA. KAZINFORM - Kazakhstan's №1 in tennis Zarina Diyas has crashed out of the WTA's Internationaux de Strasbourg tournament in France after only the first round, Vesti.kz reports.

In the opening match in Strasbourg, the 21-year-old Diyas suffered a three-set defeat against American Alison Riske. The 24-year-old Riske outclassed world №32 Diyas 7:5, 4:6, 6:1 and took their head-to-head rivalry to 2:0. Alison Riske is currently ranked 46th by WTA. In the second-round match Riske will vie against Kristina Mladenovic of France.
