Zhambyl rgn localities to be fully provided with drinking water by 2019

TARAZ. KAZINFORM - Over KZT 4.2 billion has been allocated for the construction of 18 water facilities in Zhambyl region in 2014.

Twelve projects will be put into operation this year, the press service of the regional Akim informs. KZT 12.6 billion was spent in 2011-2013 under "Ak Bulak" program in Zhambyl region. Fifty seven items have been commissioned. As a result, more than 40 localities in the region have been provided with high-quality drinking water. To date, 208 settlements among 383 have been supplied with drinking water. The population of the area is about 452 thousand people. The regional Directorate for construction, passenger transport and highways announced that all Zhambyl region localities will be fully provided with drinking water by 2019. The population of Zhambyl region as of early 2014 amounted to 1 million 70 thousand people.
