ZHETES BI KYSTAUBAIULY
ZHETES BI KYSTAUBAIULY (1828-1914) – a bi, orator from the Shekty tribe of the Small zhuz. He was known as the fair and clever bi.
He was born in Kyzylorda oblast. From the childhood the future bi solved different intertribal arguments. At that time the Kazakhs had not an institute of judgment and a role of the national judges was very important. Zhetes bi followed the so-called steppe constitution ?Zhety zhargy?.
He was named ?Tildi bi? (?Eloquent bi?) for his oratory. He was mentioned in K.Salgarin?s ?Kombe?, S.Tolybekov?s ?Kazakh shezhiresi? and in an album ?El auzynan?.
A village in Kyzylorda oblast and streets in Aralsk, Aktobe, Kyzylorda and etc. are named after Zhetes bi.
