“Zhetygen – Korgas” and “Uzen – state border with Turkmenistan” to be built by 20th anniversary of Kazakhstan’s independence

ASTANA. January 10. KAZINFORM /Gulnara Zhandagulova/ Construction of "Zhetygen - Korgas" and "Uzen - state border with Turkmenistan" lines is planned to be finished by the 20th anniversary of Kazakhstan's independence, Kazakh Minister of Transport and Communications Abelgazy Kusainov has made it public at the enlarged session of the board of the Ministry today.

Summing up the results of 2010 the Head of the Ministry has alslo informed on the plans for 2011. "The budget of the transport and communications complex will make KZT 333.3 bln. 80% or KZT 262.8 bln out of it will be spent for road sector development", the Minister said.

According to him, 3 800 km of roads will be repaired out of the allocated funds. 50 000 people and 10 000 units of road building equipment are to be involved in "West Europe - West China" road construction this year.

A.Kusainov also informed that a toll system would be put into operation at "Astana - Schuchinsk" autobahn in the second half of the year.

In the civil aviation sector it is scheduled to take measures to remove Kazakhstani air line companies from the European Commission's black list in April through November 2011. "Air Astana" and "Scat" companies are expected to acquire 11 aircrafts under leasing agreements.
