Zhetysu region to build cancer centre

An outpatient clinic for 50 visits per shift opened in Ushtobe, Karatal district, through sponsorship. Kazakhmys corporation will sponsor the construction of a cancer centre in the city of Taldykorgan, governor of Zhetysu region Beibit Issabayev told a briefing at the central communications service under the Kazakh President in Astana, Kazinforn News Agency reports.

Eight health facilities are being built in the region up to 2.1 billion tenge. Two of them were already commissioned, while the rest will be put into service next year.

Besides, 21 block-modular medical centres were built out of budget resources in the region. Six centres will be constructed by the yearend, 35 more by 2025. He added, the region plans to build 569 facilities worth 11 billion tenge under the rural healthcare moderation national project by 2025.

18 sports and cultural centres worth 10.9 billion tenge are being constructed in the region. Eight of them were put into service. Four block-modular sports complexes up to 565.2 million tenge will be built using the local government funds until the end of the year.

The indoor rink Zhetysu Arena worth 867 million tenge was sponsored by donors and built in Taldykorgan. The four-storey residential building for the Zhetysu volleyball club members worth 1.6 billion tenge will be commissioned by the yearend. Construction of the Table Tennis Centre up to 1.4 billion tenge will be completed next year.
