Earthquake felt in two regions of Kazakhstan
On January 17, 2025, the Seismological Stations Network of the Kazakh Emergencies Ministry recorded an earthquake in two regions of the country, Kazinform News Agency reports.
The epicenter of the quake was 220 kilometers northeast of Almaty, in the territory of Kazakhstan.
The quake's maximum intensity reached 2 points in Zhetysu region. Tremors were recorded in Panfilov district, in the city of Zharkent, as well as in Uyghur district of Almaty region, in the village of Chundzha.
No reports of injuries or damages were received.
On January 11, quake was recorded 77 kilometers away from Almaty
