Kazakhstan considers Guinea-Bissau important partner on African continent – President Tokayev
Head of State Kassym-Jomart Tokayev named the visit of the President of Guinea-Bissau, Umaro Sissoco Embaló, to Kazakhstan a historic event, Kazinform News Agency reports.
“I express my sincerest gratitude for accepting my invitation. This is the first time you visit Kazakhstan as the President of Guinea-Bissau. Your visit can be named historic one. We hope that this high-level meeting will open a way for a new stage of relations between the two countries. We consider the Republic of Guinea-Bissau as an important partner on the African continent,” said Kassym-Jomart Tokayev during the extended negotiations in Akorda.
According to him, last year marked the 10th anniversary since the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries.
“Over this period, we have established cooperation based on mutual trust and strong friendship. There are numerous opportunities for further development of our partnership. I view your today’s visit as an important step towards strengthening the two countries’ cooperation” said the Kazakh President.
As earlier reported, Head of State Kassym-Jomart Tokayev welcomed the President of Guinea-Bissau, Umaro Sissoco Embaló, at the Akorda Palace.
